Children in Need

Posted by Admin on 12 November 2012

Children in Need and Sports Relief are two charities we at Home Appliance Guard make extra effort to fundraise for each year. We always hold something company based and try to beat our amount raised previously. This year we had a p.j/onesieday at work with a contribution being given by every member of staff.

Additionally, we had a bake sale where a few of our employees donated delicious cakes that we sold to the company, along with games such as sweepstakes and guess how many sweets in the jar.

But soon it became hugely apparent what the main fundraiser was: the raffle for the Home Appliance Guard shirt signed by 7 Liverpool Football club players. This created a lot of excitement and we actually had to buy a second raffle book as we sold out of the first one. Also, the lucky winner, Simon Miles was in the midst of his Movember campaign (see below) and has offered the shirt up to the highest bidder.

As a company, Home Appliance Guard managed to raise an amazing £445.32 for Children in Need, beating the amount raised for Sports Relief by nearly £100.
