Bournemouth Air Festival
From August 30th- September 2nd, HOME APPLIANCE GUARD took part in the Bournemouth Air Festival. We were proud to be supporting the appearance of the Royal Navy Black Cats Helicopter Display Team, Chinook and Lynx.
It took a lot of preparation and close work with the air festival organisers and Bournemouth Council but we managed to get everything primed and ready to go in time. We had a gazebo positioned on the beach front by the east cliff lift, right in front of one of the big TV’s and between Wave 105 and Bournemouth Airport. We had a great spot down there and the atmosphere was amazing; it was really busy, the sun was shining and everyone was having a great time.
HOME APPLIANCE GUARD took part to raise brand awareness locally (and countrywide) and we had lots of people requesting more information about our products and services. For the 4 days of the air festival we employed a face painter from Diamond Faces Professional Face Painting team and offered free face painting for the kids. It was a massive hit and the queues were reaching our neighbours stands. Whilst the kids were having their face painted, the parents were conversing with us about our services.
As well as offering free sweets and face painting, we also ran two prize draws: one to win a remote control helicopter which was placed on the table and caught the children’s (and a lot of the adults) attention and another to win an Indesit washing machine. The winner of the helicopter was David Davies from Bournemouth and Sarah Guy from Portsmouth won the washing machine.
On the Sunday the sky was dark and it started raining, but in true HOME APPLIANCE GUARD style we didn’t let it bother us and instead stood out on the beach front handing out Hag umbrellas, everyone was so pleased to have a useful promotional item for once! We also met with the helicopter display team who thanked HOME APPLIANCE GUARD for supporting them and we had photos and a chat with them about our company.
We hope to see old and new faces at Bournemouth Air Festival 2013…. I think we will need a bigger gazebo.
