We do not provide cover for appliances that are still under a manufacturers’ guarantee or extended warranty. You are eligible to take out a Home Appliance Guard appliance insurance policy once your manufacturers’ guarantee or extended warranty expires.
Unlike most insurance companies we do not place many restrictions on what you can cover. It doesn’t matter how old your appliance is, the make or model, a breakdown insurance policy from Home Appliance Guard has got you covered, provided your appliance is not under a manufacturers’ guarantee or extended warranty. Home Appliance Guard is unable to cover appliances that are for commercial use.
If a fault occurs within the first 21 days of the start date of your policy an excess of £100 will be applicable.
Making a claim could not be easier, simply call our dedicated Claims Hotline on Free phone 0800 652 6789. All of our claims advisers are fully trained and will try to resolve your problem over the phone but if they can’t then they’ll happily arrange an engineer visit. Our dedicated UK based Claims team is on hand to help you 6 days a week.
If you have purchased your policy directly through our website all of your policy documents will be available when you log into your Home Appliance Guard account on our website, alternatively you can call our Customer Services Team on Freephone 0800 652 6789 and request the paperwork to be either emailed or posted to your address.

If you decide to leave us or that you no longer need to protect your appliance you can cancel by either calling our customer services team on 0800 652 6789, by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by post addressed to Customer Services Department, Kingsland House, 21 Hinton Rd, Bournemouth, BH1 2DE. If you have chosen annual payment for your policy you will be entitled to a pro rate refund depending on the remaining time on your policy. There will be an administration charge of £25 for annual policies that cancel before the first annual anniversary of the policy. For more information on cancelling please see our terms and conditions.
