  • I don't want to purchase online, is there a number I can call to buy my care plan?

    Not all of us want to make online purchases, but don’t worry if you’d rather speak to someone in order to set up a care plan just give our inbound sales team a call on 0808 168 4456. The inbound sales line is open from Monday – Friday from 9am – 6pm.

  • What if I have a manufacturers' guarantee or my appliance is still in warranty?

    We do not provide care for appliances that are still under a manufacturers’ guarantee or extended warranty. You are eligible to take out a Home Appliance Guard appliance care plan once your manufacturers’ guarantee or extended warranty expires.

  • Are there restrictions on the appliances I can add?

    Unlike most companies we do not place many restrictions on what you can add to your plan. It doesn’t matter how old your appliance is, the make or model, a breakdown a policy from Home Appliance Guard has got you covered, provided your appliance is not under a manufacturers’ guarantee or extended warranty. Home Appliance Guard is unable to care for appliances that are for commercial use.

  • Is there excess I have to pay?

    There is no excess to pay, but there is an exclusion period preventing you from requesting a repair in the first 28 days of your plan.

  • Can I request a repair more than once?

    With a Home Appliance Guard product there are no restrictions on the amount of times you can request a repair.

  • What engineers do you use?

    Home Appliance Guard has an extensive nationwide network of fully qualified engineers, so when you need a repair we can arrange an engineer local to you which means faster response times.

  • When does my plan start?

    Your plan starts as soon as you purchase a care plan, the start date can be found on your plan schedule documents in your welcome pack..

  • How do I request a repair?

    Requesting a repair could not be easier, simply call our dedicated Repair Hotline on Free phone 0800 652 6789. All of our repair advisers are fully trained and will try to resolve your problem over the phone but if they can’t then they’ll happily arrange an engineer visit. Our dedicated UK based repair team is on hand to help you 6 days a week.

  • Can I request a repair online?

    Not quite yet, although we are working hard to create an online repair system. In the meantime if you need to claim simply call our dedicated repair hotline on Freephone 0800 652 6789 or submit a request on the repair form on the website.

  • How long does my care plan last?

    Your care plan will last as long as you continue to pay or until you cancel.

  • How do I renew a care plan?

    It could not be easier, your plan will automatically renew with each payment, so there is nothing for you to do at all. We will contact you prior to the anniversary of your care plan.

  • What payment system is used, and are my details safe?

    All payments are made using Direct Debit and when you purchase a policy online we use Paypoint.com as our payment gateway, which means all your details are safe and secure.

  • How do I pay?

    When you take out an appliance care plan with Home Appliance Guard you have the choice of payment options; Annual payment – a one off payment which will cover you for 12 months with just one payment. Quarterly payment – 4 payments spread over 12 months on a rolling contract offering you flexibility.

  • I've lost my plan documents, where can I obtain a copy?

    You can call our Customer Services Team on Freephone 0800 652 6789 and request the paperwork to be either emailed or posted to your address.

  • How do I complain?

    We always strive to provide the highest standard of customer service but in the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with the service provided by us then please contact us here.

  • How do I change my details?

    Life is not stagnant and our circumstances are always changing. If you need to let us know about a change in bank details or address or anything else related to your care plan simply contact our Customer Services Team on Freephone 0800 652 6789.

  • How do I cancel?

    If you decide to leave us or that you no longer need your appliance care plan you can cancel by either calling our customer services team on 0800 652 6789, by emailing us at customer-supportteam@homeapplianceguard.co.uk or by post addressed to Customer Services Department, 3 Poole Road, Bournemouth, England, BH2 5QL. If you have chosen annual payment for your plan you will be entitled to a pro rate refund depending on the remaining time on your policy. There will be an administration charge of £25 for annual plans that cancel before the first annual anniversary of the policy. For more information on cancelling please see our terms and conditions.
